The climax presents a fantastic picture of a silent young man filled with anger, confronting with the assasination of Milind Gunaji. Anil Kapoor’s display of emotions is captivating and never goes overboard. Subhash Ghai’s dialogues are thoughtful and intelligent. However, the screenplay loosens at times, making one brood over the high points of cinema.
On the acting front, Anil Kapoor proves his long stay in Bollywood once again with his versatile piece of acting. He breathes life with his dialogues and emotions. Newcomer Anurag Sinha deserves the crux of the praise as he portrays a very difficult character with ease and natural flair, a character of a good actor in the making.
Shefali Shah is outstanding. One wonders why she does not show her talent in more movies. Milind Gunaji is good.
In the light of good cinema wit richness of emotions and a fine story, Black & White is worthy of your choice of cinema this weekend.
