It was only last month that Kareena Kapoor grabbed herself a Rs. 3.5 crore deal with studio 18, and now she has done it again.
The successful Kapoor girl has signed on with Asthavinayak Films for Rs. 3.5 crore, meaning she now has Rs. 7 crore in the bag. She will however need to do a little work to earn this money; a film directed by Rumu Jaffrey opposite her once arch-enemy John Abraham.
This new deal now takes Kareena another step up the Bollywood ladder, and way ahead of her colleague Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Prior to these two deals, Aishwarya was the highest paid actress in Bollywood, but that has now changed.

kareena is sooo overrated!i admit she was good in jab we met but i think aishwarya’s the best in acting wise, look at jodha akbar!
Cut the crap!None of them are best in acting!the best are kajol,madhuri,manish and juhi!even rani and preity are way ahead!
i think aish is overhyped. kareena proved through chameli , omkara and jab we met that she can act.

Regardless of how beautiful Aishwariya is & how good her performance is in Jodhaa Akbar, she’s just not bankable without a strong male lead. Look at her heroine-orientated movies such as Bride & Prejudice & Mistress of Spices – they just didn’t work. Kareena’s movies work a lot better & her acting ability is above par consistently; however people feel negatively about her because of all the controversies she’s involved in. If you simply focus on acting ability, you’ll find that Kareena has earned that 7crore.
Kareena is way toooo overrated. She was just a ganwar version of Poo (K3G) in Jab We met. I still cannot believe that she won awards over Madhuri in Aaja Nachley. I think JWM did not only run for her, but for the music and Shahid. Lets see Kareena without top stars and see how the movie does
Kareena Kapoor is overrated. She can’t do a simple role, she’s best at the dramatic, serious sewuences. Though, she surprised me in JWM, but not enough to think she should have won. Her nomination was good enough, she shouldn’t have won every award.
The same for Aish, she can only do the big, grand movies like Hum dil de chuke sanam, Devdas, Jodha Akhbar, and even smaller ones like Raincoat, but they’re dramatic and serious.
They both cannot do comedies or play normal, down to earth people.
aish is much better than kareena. kareena is useless. respect to aish over kareena. but i agree aish aint the best – however she does sell well in the media – can kareena do it? i dont think so!

Its about time that the indian film industry stood up and took notice of Kareena. This girl has been ignored for so long despite showing oodles of talent and a brilliant screen presence. She is versatile and hard working. In a short span of a few years she has portrayed a vast majority of different roles showcasing her versatality as a star. With Jab We Met she has only gone on further to consolidate her position as Bollywoods numero uno heroine. Its a shame that the public seems to have already made up their mind of her not being worthy of such recognition, purely based on their perceptions of her as a person rather than an actor. I personally blame the media for tarnishing her image and getting in the way of her being able to reach out to the majority of the biased public.

Aishwarya is a gone case! She’s only good for cooking Dosa and Sambhar to Bachhans along with Amar Singh. In the span of more than a decade, she’s only given two memorable performances and surprise surprise both belonged to top notch directors. She can never play characters that require her to do something other than wear expensive jeweleries and dance to classical numbers. Look how she destroyed Dhoom 2. Suneheri was a poor man’s “Poo” wannabe. All she did was shake her flat ironed booty and said “like” every two second in the most uncomfortable tone. She was trying so hard to be kareena of K3g in the movie. Unfortunately she ain’t no Kareena.
Kareena is like water. Give her any color and she’ll become that color. Be it a role of an innocent village girl, or a bitchy urban lady, be it a talkative Geet or quiet Dolly, she’s done it all. She’s the style icon of India. She has a fashion line dedicated to her! She’s a true superstar. 5 minute long Songs are made just for her commercial! She is the ultimate diva that everyone wishes to be, but can never be. She’s the favorite covergirl for every top magazine of India! She’s woman’s subject of envy. She’s got a rich, very suave and unbelievable loving man called Saif as HER MAN. She’s rich and sophisticated. She is the highest paid actress in bollywood’s history. Hits or flops, she’s every directors’ dream. Unlike Ash who is totally dependent on directors for her acting, Kareena is spontaneous and directors depend on her for quality performance.
Haters can cry foul and keep calling kareena names, the truth is even the girl’s name sells! You just have to say kareena and even the quitest of people have to say something. In bollywood where your name has to make an impact, KAREENA is a force you simply cannot deny. Whether you love her or you hate her, you know you can’t do without her!
Kareena deserves every bit of success she’s tasting right now. And she worked very hard for it over the years. From a spoilt brat like poo, to playing a strong woman in Dev, kareena’s done it all. And now in JWM she’s shown everyone that she can play an energetic everyday girl with so much charisma and ease that people sit up and take notice. She carried that movie on her shoulders pretty much, along with Shahid. People who say that she should do a movie without a big star and see if she can make it…that goes for Ash, not kareena. JWM had a new director and a fairly new actor as well. Shahid is still not an established superstar like the likes of Khans and Roshans that Ash works with. Has she ever given a blockbuster hit without the khans, roshan, or bachans?

It’s a big big sin to even compare Aishwarya to Kareena. Both are very different. While Kareena is a natural, beautiful and versatile actress, Ash is a plastic beauty who does period films most of the times. Aishwarya has never done a comic or villain role in her whole career while Kareena was brilliant at comedy in Jab We Met and fantastic as the vamp in Fida only in 7 years of career. Kareena can fit into any type of roles while Aishwarya will scare people if she does comedy and will make people laugh if she does a negative character. Aishwarya needs powerful directors to deliver while Kareena will deliver a competent performance with ANY director. Kareena is among the very few actresses of today who look beautiful without make up – just watch Yuva, Refugee, Omkara, Jab We Met , she sports a non-glamorous look but is heavenly beautiful. Look at Aishwarya in Raincoat – I was damn scared on seeing her without make up. Kareena is far more superior than Ash in the acting, beauty and personality field. KAREENA SIMPLY ROCKS.
kareena deserves all the success today.aish is no longer viable and the deal she got is for a south indian film with has a hindi version with a older actor ,it means she got that for 2 films moreover she was wooed by the price.however all superstars in bollywood refuse to work with her ,so she has no go but look down south.wonder why she has to work instead of having babies post 35.looks like the union was more for commercial purpose than for normal marriage.what else with an aging father and a no star husband,looks like she wants to make all the moolah with the hype.otherwise for her beauty,she has nothing to offer new which will eventually fade off.kareena has a natural spontaneity and sure deserves to go places.
I think the Credit for her success must also be given to Shahid Kapoor For leading her to that much fame….. and he Also acted better then her in the movies that they did together….

Kareena is overrated. She was good in JWM because it was a author backed role and Imtiaz Ali is a great director and gave her a perfect script and some juicy dialogues. I would say she was very lucky. I am not undermining her performance as she was very good. But, there is no doubt she is overrated being a Kapoor and all that…
I just read that she is now asking 6 crore per film from Ashtvinayak and wants to renogotiate the above mentioned deal.
