EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Aankhon Se Khwab Rooth Kar (Singers: Ustad Sultan Khan, Rekha Bhardwaj) Rating: 7/10
Classically rich but commercially flop is the music arrangement of Aankhon Se Khwab Rooth Kar, which has soulful rendition from the vocal chords of Ustad Sultan Khan and Rekha Bhardwaj. The song is clearly one of the best songs heard in the Indian classical front in the recent times. The alaaps and raags are smooth and endearing. Best for ears with classical base.
Ajnabi (Singer: Raaj) Rating: 6/10
Sung by newcomer Raaj, Ajnabi is a slow romantic track which leaves your attention the moment it gets over. The jazzy base to the track reminds the melody heard in the songs of the 60s era. The track maintains a subtle note with guitar strings being strummed in the backdrop. All in all, good till it lasts.
Dont I Love Or Do I Love U (Singer:Adnan Sami, Sunidhi Chauhan) Rating: 4/10
With names like Adnan Sami and Sunidhi Chauhan in the credit list, Don’t I Love Or Do I Love U turns out to be an unexpected soar in the soundtrack. Come to play it again, and the answer is a firm ‘No’. The music as well as the lyrics leave a snazzy feel with the lazed rhythm that moves at a dead pace.
