UK Box Office: Another flop for Ajay
The Ajay Devgan multi-starrer comedy Sunday has flopped at the UK Box Office.
Distributors Eros International were hoping that the flavor of comedy would continue to bring people to the cinemas, but this was not the case for this particular film. The film was being shown at a good 33 screens but still managed only an average of $4,881 per screen. Total collection for the film stand at $161,059. The film entered the UK Box Office charts at number 16.
The other new Bollywood release of the week, Bhumika Chawla starrer Yaariyan, fared slightly better. The film was only shown on a meager 11 screens but still managed to bag $55,347. It opened in the charts at number 22.
Aamir Khan’s much talked about flick Taare Zameen Par is still making money, even in its sixth week of release. The total collections of this drama now stand at $663,362 and it stands in the charts at number 29, a drop of only 2 places from last week.
Halla Bol is dropping down the charts, as in its third week it only managed a weak $7,242. Two Tamil films make up the rest of the Bollywood/India chart.
