Ranbir to star with Shah Rukh
Aishwarya Rai, Juhi Chawla and Kajol have all done Pepsi commercials early in their careers. It’s almost become a sort of trend for Cola companies to cash in on popular upcoming stars and feature them in their ads. So it wasn’t much of a surprise when the flavor of the season — Ranbir Kapoor was signed on by Pepsi to appear in a commercial with Shah Rukh Khan.
Interestingly, this will be the first time that Shah Rukh and Ranbir appear on screen together. The duo, who were seen as rivals last year during the release of Om Shanti Om and Saawariya, are scheduled to shoot for the commercial in the coming weeks.
A source close to the project reveals, “Shah Rukh and Ranbir have bumped into each other at parties and award functions, but never really bonded. The commercial will be the first time that the actors not only share screen space but also get to know each other.”
Before Ranbir, it was John Abraham who appeared in a Pepsi commercial with Shah Rukh. Ranbir who was in Sydney shooting for a Yash Raj film returned home on Sunday night.
