An update of the Fardeen Khan Drugs case… the actor will be tried for attempting to purchase only 1 gm of cocaine, a quantity that can only get him a jail sentence of six months maximum.
Seven years ago Fardeen Khan was caught as he was trying to buy drugs from an alleged drug dealer, Nasir Shaikh. If Khan had been caught with possession of more than 2 gm then he would have been liable to be tried for a 10 year prison punishment. But that will not be the case now.
Fardeen also has the option of going to a detoxification clinic if the judge decides.
What would you do if you were the judge in the Fardeen Khan case? Would you sentence him to 6 months of jail, send him to a clinic, or let him off with a reprimand?
