20th January 2008: Mumbai based Alliance Foods Pvt. Ltd. today entered the ever-growing Indian food retail space with launch of their frish brand of frozen food products. Alliance Foods is the domestic frozen food business of Aqua Alliance, an integrated Mumbai based seafood major with prominent presence at every step of the aquaculture value chain.
The launch of their frish brand frozen seafood products was held at a grand party, with the magnificent Arabian Sea as the appropriate back-drop, in presence of Mumbai’s well-known celebrities, from Bollywood to the corporate world. With the launch of frish , the company plans to introduce a series of quality frozen products in convenient packaging for the discerning seafood lover. Owing to their core-competence in Prawn farming, Seafood freezing and exports, the company feels that it has what it takes to keep on offering the best quality products at most competitive prices, all year round. Also, their focus on offering defined species in convenient packing would go on to make Prawn cooking a delightful experience for the Indian house-wives and chefs’.
Speaking at the launch, Kamlesh Gupta, Chairman Aqua Alliance and the force behind the initiative, said “We are aiming at making prawn eating a culture in India. Changing the conventional perception about fresh seafood and breaking the myths about the hygiene, health & convenience factors by and large would help us achieve that.” He went on to add that the company is actively engaging itself to launch a slew of ready-to-cook & ready-to-fry products, to captivate the imagination of seafood lovers.

A noteworthy presence at the launch was of Ad Man Pralhad Kakkar , who took it upon himself to enthrall the celebrity crowd with a connoisseur’s perspective about seafood, particularly Prawns. “All good recipes originate from the amazing quality of the basic ingredient. With launch of frish range of products, we all can now look forward to dishing out an assortment of mouth-watering Prawn preparations”, was how he fittingly summed-up his reaction after tasting the spread of variety of frish Prawns. “As a cook, I’ll be happy to opt for frish products, not only because of its quality but also due to its convenient packing” he added.
