You have seen him act in popular serials (Kasturi, Kesar, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kkvayanjali) and recently also in the dance show Nach Baliye 3. Now Karan Patel takes on a new avatar—as a host of the TV show Kaho Na Yaar Hai a reality chat cum game show.
Talking about what motivated him in taking up this show, Karan says, “I have never anchored TV shows before. So when I learnt about this, it got me interested. When I was participating in Nach Baliye, some officials from the channel suggested that I audition for it. I did and surprisingly I was not bad. I am sure the channel people also thought the same about me and took me on.”
So how did he find the experience of being in the shoes of an anchor? “I knew it would be challenging and was looking forward to take it up. And I have been fairly successful in my attempt.” Quiz him about what he discovered about himself as he anchored the show and he says, “I didn’t know that I could be so spontaneous. I could create a flow of conversation and control it too to an extent.”
