‘Ummeed’ primarily echoes the sensitive approach to the world surrounding this contemplative teenager. It portrays the sensitivity with which he takes on the world.
Aditya started writing poems initially at the tender age of 14 on his grandfather Shri Balasaheb Thackeray. It was Balasaheb who saw the sparkling talent and suggested that Aditya explore other topics which inspired him. Aditya’s effort finally borne fruit when his collection of English, Hindi and Marathi poems was published into a book titled ‘My Thoughts in Black and
White’. In the book he covers various topics like politics, British Raj, struggle of the proletariat, Spiritual mysticism and Prophecy. This essence of mysticism and prophecy has also been captured in ‘Ummeed’. A poem titled ‘Ek Parinda’ from the book was composed into a song and sung by Suresh Wadkar and Devaki Pandit at the Memorial Concert of Ustad Bismillah Khan as the opening number.
