As expected, Eklavya The Royal Guard has failed to make it to the final nine films vying for an Oscar nomination.
The Amitabh Bachchan starrer did not make the cut, and the nine films that did manage to get the nods were, The Counterfeiters, The Year My Parents Went On Vacation, Days Of Darkness, Beaufort, The Unknown Woman, Mongol, Katyn, 12, and The Trap.
When Eklavya was put forward as India’s entry for the Oscars, there was a lot of hullabaloo over why it was chosen and not other deserving flick.
