Star Plus has outrightly reused to pay the prize money of five lakhs that it owes to the runner-up couple Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi after they defamed the channel by provoking allegations against it.

Says Anupama Mandloi, senior creative head of Star Plus, “Rakhi has gone against the spirit of the contract which she had signed with us before Nach Baliye 3 started.

She needs to tender an unconditional apology for all the false allegations that she has made against us.”
