Ashutosh Gowariker’s previous film Swades, which starred Shah Rukh Khan was initially offered to Aamir Khan, who could not lend immediate dates for the project.

Later the film was offered to Hrithik Roshan, who rejected the offer, as he could not relate with the character of Mohan Bhargav.

This time around, when Ashutosh offered Jodhaa Akbar to Hrithik, there wasn’t much hesitation from the actor’s side who was ready to learn for his previous bad decision of not accepting Swades.
