Former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen has pleaded herself innocent in the illegal import of her Toyota Landcruiser.

In a reply to a notice issued by the Bombay High Court Sushmita has said that she had no intention to defeat any provision of law and that she was not involved in import of the Landcruiser.

On the 11th of October, 2007, BMC’s Joint Commissioner had asked her to shell out Rs 23 lakh towards octroi and ten times penalty for importing the car.
