REPORT: BBC ASIAN NETWORK'S BEST SONG 2004 CONTEST!
The BBC
Asian Network presents its Annual Top 100 Tunes of the year on New Years
Eve between 9am - 7pm. Running into its third year, it's grown from
strength to strength.
The Nominations
go online from the 1st of December to the 24th of December and every
submission enters you for the draw of winning the complete Top 100 Albums
as featured on the Chart on New Years Eve. Nominations include songs
from Bollywood movies such as Veer Zaara, Murder and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
The Music
Team will compile a list housing all the popular releases of the year,
based on the Station's Play list, Music Industry and Airplay
This list
will then be made available on the web for Voting commencing on the
Wednesday 1st December - Friday 24th December (Midnight). The Voting
will be subject to the listeners voting once on the site for ten of
their favourite tracks and filling in a submission form which enters
them for the draw of winning the Top 100 Albums which are to be featured
on New Year's Eve.
The Accounting
period for this list is December 2003 - November 2004 and the list will
then be made available on the web for Voting commencing on Wednesday
1st December - to midnight on Friday 24th December. The Voting will

for the draw of winning the Top 100 Albums which are to be featured

Last year
the BBC received votes from all over the UK from their normal catchment
areas as well as Worldwide. Closing Date for Voting will be Christmas
Eve (Friday 24th December) @ Midnight. Airplay starts @ 9am on Friday
31st December, So Get Voting!!!
