The model turned actor Anuj Sawhney, who enticed the viewers earlier with his humorous-packaged acting prowess in ‘Nayee Padosan’ and ‘Fun2oshh’, is making his comeback after some years’ hiatus with IDreams Productions’ supernatural thriller ‘Naina’ opposite the curvaceous sexy siren Urmila Mantondkar. This sparkling star always believes in hard work, which speaks for itself and there lies his success mantra.

After doing MBA from Vanderbilt University in the US, he stepped into the world of modeling and did almost 24 commercials with various popular brands like Reid & Taylor Suiting, Fiat Siena, Nokia Phones, Seagram’s Whiskey, Raymond’s, Cadburys Éclairs, Kodak films, Yamaha Crux R, Agni Jewellery, Electrolux and Sahara etc. The thirst of making his mark in this glittering universe then took him to another avenue of music videos where he worked in five music albums.

The whopping opportunity knocked the door when Neha Arts gave him break in their film, ‘Nayee Padosan’ then came his way an altogether unique ilk of comedy movie ‘Fun2shh’ that provided him a chance to work with the legend like Paresh Rawal. Although both the films did not gel well at the box office but Anuj proved that he is laced with stupefying talent.

His forthcoming movie, ‘Naina’ is a supernatural thriller and revolves around Anuj and Urmila in particular. He is playing the character of a young, dynamic yet very warm and approachable young psychiatrist, who runs a very successful practice in London whereas Urmila plays his patient.

Anuj is appearing in an English movie, ‘Brides Wanted’. With him, the legendary yesteryear’s actress Waheeda Rehman and Girish Karnard are his co-stars.

The luminous actor will also be seen with gorgeous Shusmita Sen and Mithun Da in another forthcoming movie, ‘Chingari’ produced by Venus Records and Tapes Ltd.

The gleaming star has now set his feet in industry and is wrapped with offers.
