The
latest entrant into the Hindi film industry
from the Kapoor clan rocked the nation with
her surefire success and power-packed performances
in a spate of releases including Satish Kaushik's
Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Subhash Ghai's Yaadein
and Abbas-Mustan's latest thriller Ajnabee.
Having proved her mettle as an actress with
immense potential Kareena Kapoor deftly shook
off the burden of being Karisma's little sibling
from the very beginning of her career.
Now
the vivacious young performer dons the skin
of Kaurwaki, a beautiful fisherwoman trend queen
in Shah Rukh Khan's latest mega movie Asoka,
a film that's threatening to brew up a rage
at the ticket counters going by it's pre-release
pomp and spectacular visual appeal. Kaurwaki
is one of the key components in the legend of
Emperor Asoka, as she guides the arrogant warrior
king to his destiny, by the force of his love
and desire for her.
We
caught up with the Kareena to find out what
it was like to step into a world that existed
a few centuries ago in a movie that most anticipate
will take the silver screen by storm even amidst
its bubble-gum contemporaries.
