The show will be MCd by the wisecracker VJ Cyrus Broacha and the dazzling Mandira Bedi. This year it will revolve around a Horror theme, infused with oodles of fun and will be filmed live and simulcast to over 23.5 million homes on MTV and 32 million homes on Sony Entertainment Television on December 19th, 2004. Wowing the audience with their livewire performances will be music and Bollywood stars doing what they do best! Representing Bollywood will be Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan and the sizzling Priyanka Chopra. Delivering high energy acts and soul stirring music. Indo-Pak duos, Hariharan & Strings, Shaan & Fuzon and the dynamic artists Sukhbir & JoSH promise to set the stage on fire. An ensemble, head and shoulders above the rest of their artiste contemporaries - Hariharan & Strings are outfitted to take the TATA Indicom and MTV IMMIES 2004 to a whole new level. With his ghazals, bhajans, romantic pieces, patriotic tunes and classical exposés, the honey voiced Hariharan, can no longer be typecast into a specific genre of music. Now, hes ready to win over another audience with Karachi based rock group, Strings, that created waves with hits like Sar Kiyae, Anjane, Durr and other invigorating brews of Pakistani pop and western rock. Framed as one of Indias superlative pop icons, Shan needs no preface. Whats more his enthusiasm can expect more than a power pact evening, as the illustrious Indie singer teams up with the Pakistani band Fuzon, well-known for its synthesis of eastern classical melodies and western rock. Whether the smooth Dooriya or the evocative tabla-guitar-innuendo Mora Saiyaa, Fuzon has a fine repertoire. Also, part of the performing crew will be Sukhbir the famed Prince of Bhangra in common with the Montreal maestros JoSH, duo behind the desi mix- Nelly Furtados superhit single Powerless. Together on one stage, Sukhbir with his blend of conventional bhangra and dance, techno, rave and even trance JoSH with its equally powerful bhangra riffs; the two of a kind, with their one of a kind gigs, are sure to keep the crowds thirsting for more.
