Over
the weekend from Friday 8th July through to Sunday 10th July 2005,
London Olympia’s Grand Hall witnessed the return of the hugely
popular, three day Asian Lifestyle Show – A celebration of all
things Ethnic from the UK and overseas. Guest stars included Bollywood
stars Kajol, Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
Despite
recent and tragic events haunting London and affecting public transport,
the show carried on and saw a respectful turn out from the public,
even reaching capacity on Sunday. Spectators were treated to performances
by top British Asian urban acts, fashion shows, cookery demonstrations
hosted by an array of celebrity chefs and guest appearances by A-list
Bollywood stars.

Entertainment Television Asia, the World's leading Asian entertainment
TV channel, was the Official Partner of the Asian Lifestyle Show.
The channel held open auditions for the second series of Indian
Idol, the hit show based on the hugely successful Pop Idol format.
Visitors flocked to the Sony Entertainment Television Asia stand
where they proved their potential at being the next Abhijeet.
Bollywood
golden couple, Kajol and Ajay Devgan, along with sultry Kareena
Kapoor and sensational Saif Ali Khan thrilled the crowds with special
appearances, up-close and personal interviews and autograph signings.
The
crowd went wild for the gorgeous trio girl band Rouge, singing their
chart topping hits as well as B21 and Juggy D and Veronica, who
collaborate with the likes of Craig David, Britney Spears and Mary
J Blige, as part of the Rishi Rich Project. Abhijeet Sawant, winner
of Indian Idol, also performed on the entertainment stage inspiring
the public to audition for the second series of Indian Idol, music
hit show based on the hugely successful Pop Idol format.
