AISHWARYA RAI IN BIKINI EVENT
Actress specially chosen for role

The popular Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai has been chosen as one of this year's host for an International golf and bikini event!

Aishwarya Rai has been billed as one of the hosts for the event in Los Cabos (Mexico), together with model Amber Valletta and football star Marcus Allen.

It seems Aishwarya was chosen for the role in the four-day charity event after her friend, a make-up artist, met with the organiser. The actress will give her time for free and all money raised will go towards the following charities: the Jenesse Center, Domestic Violence Intervention Service, The Teddy Bear Foundation and The Arya Kanya Sadan Orphanage, located in New Delhi, India.

Aishwarya, along with the other hosts, will welcome the guests to the event at Thursday night's 'Welcome Party' as well as thanking the participants for their generosity following the 'Big Ticket Auction' during the closing ceremonies. Other activities planned for the event include a designer bikini show, celebrity golf competition, a pool party and a live concert.

"I can not express how happy and grateful we are to Ambika Pillai and Mohit Agarwal for arranging the details and confirming the participation of Aishwarya Rai", says Sheffield, the events producer. "Both, Ms. Rai and Ms. Pillai have perhaps the busiest schedules I have ever seen. Yet, they have taken the time to support the event, in turn, helping the orphanage, in addition, to two shelters for abused women & children, namely, the Jenesse center and the Domestic violence intervention center, both facilities in need of donations".

'The Second Annual Angels on the Fairway Bikini Golf Open' takes place between 20th - 23rd June 2002. Celebrities and sports stars participating in this event will include Oscar-winner Halle Berry, rock superstar Mick Fleetwood, basketball greats Julius Erving, Clyde Drexler and Charles Barkley, Los Angeles Lakers Derek Fisher and Devon George, seven time super-cross Champion Jeremy McGrath, Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady, Football all-pro Junior Seau, sports announcer Jim Hill, Fashion Models & Playboy Playmates.
