Salaam Namaste (Kunal Ganjawala, Vasundhara Das)
Let it be Hum Tum, BnB or Dhoom, YashRaj films come up with an exhilarating,
stimulating title track; and Salaam Namaste is no exception. With Vishal-Sekar,
who are riding high after the success of ‘Dus’ and the sensational
Kunal Ganjawala; Salaam Namaste starts with a bang! Vasundhara Das who
has hits like Shakalaka baby and Its the time to Disco has another feather
in her cap. The tune with Bhangra touch is crisp and enjoyable. After
‘Dus Bahane’ Salaam Namaste is going to be the new mantra.

2)
My Dil Goes Mmm (Shaan, Gayatri Iyer)
Next up is a melodious song My Dil Goes Mmm which has some attractive
lyrics by Jaideep Sahani who makes us smile with his witty writing. The
director Siddhart Anand has managed to extract best out of the composer-lyricist
and it will be interesting to watch this song on the big screen. The lead
singers Shaan and Gayatri Iyer are impressive.
Rating: 8/10
3)
Whats Goin’ On (Kunal Ganjawala, Sunidi Chauhan)
Kunal and Sunidi join hands to render Whats goin’ on; a lively song
with witty lyrics. Though this song might not be a blockbuster but it
manages to sustain the momentum. An effective picturization from the director
will play a vital role for the success of this song.
Rating: 6/10
4)
Tu Jahaan (Sonu Nigam, Mahalaxmi Iyer)
A very sweet composition, a melodious number, Tu Jahaan maintain a subtle
pace with a soulful rendition from Sonu Nigam, who time and again proves
he is the king of melody. Mahalaxmi also chips in for few lines. Another
highlight of the song is meaningful lyrics from Jaideep Sahani.
Rating: 7/10
5)
My Dil Goes Mmm - English Club Mix (Shaan, Caralisa Monteiro, Mix by DJ
Aqeel)
No doubt DJ Aqeel is one of the best DJ’s in India; and the English
club mix proves it. My Dil Goes Mmm is an English version of the Vishal-Sekar
track and surprisingly better than the original one. The idea of the producers
is very clear, this song is made for the publicity of the film, might
be aired just before the release of the film. This song surely rocks and
will be a rage in discotheques in coming days.
Rating: 9/10
6)
Salaam Namaste - Dhol Mix (Kunal Ganjawala, Vasundhara Das, Mix by Nikhil
Chinnappa, Naved)
The next one is a Dhol mix of the title song. Though the original version
is far better, the dhol mix with its unique flavor entices the listeners.
Rating: 7/10
7)
My Dil Goes Mmm - Instrumental (DJ Aqeel)
The album winds up with an instrumental version of the My Dil Goes Mmm.
A techno track proficiently handled by DJ Aqeel. This foot-tapping and
fast paced song will be patronized by the youngsters.
