Following her break from the entertainment industry, Sridevi is suddenly a busy lady once again. She has her television show doing well in India, a delayed project opposite Akshay Kumar ready for release on the big screen and now she's a producer for the forthcoming flick Run, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Bhumika. The film has music by Himesh Reshammiya, whilst the lyricist is Sameer. The album features eight songs in total and has been released by Tips.

(1) Sarki Chunariya Re (Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik)
The soundtrack begins beautifully with a melodious duet featuring Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Alka simply steals the show with her soft and catchy rendition whilst the singing maestro Udit Narayan accompanies her fully. An unidentified male singer croons "Koi Lagne Laga Hai Pyaara". The fusion of the Jhankaar, dholak and other soft sounding instruments sounds great. Sameer's lyrics are rhythmic and complimented well by Himesh's majestic music. The song is currently on air starring Abhishek Bachchan and Bhumika. The choreography and the direction deserve full marks. On the whole, the song is potentially a chart buster.
Rating: 9/10

(2) Dil Mein Jo Baat Hai (Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
A love duet "Dil Mein Jo Baat Hai" sung by Sonu Nigam and Alka appears next in the album. Sonu is lovable in his silken rendition and Alka Yagnik presents her energetic vocals well. The instruments' arrangement has a heavy dose of romance and the lyrics depict the love theme well. Himesh's tunes leave the listener yearning for more.
Rating: 8/10

(3) Tere Mere Pyaar Ke (Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik appear once again in the album with the song "Tere Mere Pyaar Ke". This romance number is beautiful at all levels and features a lovely composition with brilliantly played instruments (guitar, Jhankaar and drums). The skills of penning worthy lyrics are well showcased through Sameer's work. A gorgeous song!
Rating: 8/10

(4) Tere Aane Se (Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik)
With much oomph, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik sing a romance number "Tere Aane Se". The fast feeling of the song is handled magnificently by the vocalists. The guitar playing is the main feature of the track and sounds good. The background chorus too sticks out whilst Sameer's lyrics go well with the theme. Himesh' composition is innovative. This is another good quality song.
Rating: 7.5/10

(5) Tere Aane Se…Remix Version (Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik)
The remix version carries same feelings and taste we developed in the original version earlier.
Rating: 7.5/10

(6) Chain Ho Chain Ho (Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
"Chain Ho Chain Ho" features Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik once again. The track has Sonu Nigam singing romantically with his usual ease. Alka Yagnik's brilliant performance is equally good too. The background chorus is pleasing to the ears. Excellently penned lyrics by Sameer are heartwarming and the music is well composed by Himesh Rishamiya. Another good attempt.
Rating: 8.5/10

(7) Nahin Hona Nahin (Richa Sharma and Kunal Ganjawala)
Kunal Ganjawala and Richa Sharma pairs up for a bhanjara number "Nahin Hona Nahin". Kunal excels in his energetic singing but one wonders why does he sounds like Sukhwinder Singh? Whether he does it knowingly or unknowingly is questionable but in any case this similarity harms his uniqueness. On the other hand, Richa Sharma is superb. The playing of dhol and dholak makes perfect fusion. Sameer and Rishamiya do nice jobs to help this track flow in well. Only Kunal's singing disturbs you a bit otherwise the song has hearing effects.
Rating: 6/10

(8) Bade Naazuk Daur Se (Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik)
The unblemished combination of Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik brings us a love duet "Bade Naazuk Daur Se", which is thoroughly pleasant. Managing the vocals' cord beautifully, both the singers concentrate on holding the listener's interest. The chorus is tender and the skillfully designed instruments portray the composer's creativity too. Sameer seems to be playing a good innings with this album. He has written poetry one enjoys and admires while listening to it through the music. His lyrics for this song are impressive too. The orchestration Himesh presents is commendable. Overall the song can register a good impact on the listeners.
Rating: 7.5/10

Overall:
The strength of this excellent album lies in creatively composed music and romantic numbers. Himesh's trademark of scoring love songs can be noticed through the essence of the soundtrack. Ranging from the music director, lyricist to the singers, the entire team deserves huge applause for generating such a fantastic, melodious album, which will truly bring lucrative results in sales. A stupendous gift to pass the time!
