1)
Seene Mein Dil (Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik)
Bollywood lyricist Sameer and musician Himesh Reshammiya reunite once
again for the soundtrack of Koi Aap Sa, which begins with ‘Seene
Mein Dil’ (featuring the vocals of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik).
The singers deliver with gusto for this soulful love song. Sameer at the
writing desk and Himesh on orchestra create an absolutely pleasant opening
to the soundtrack.
Rating: 8.5/10
2)
Seene Mein Dil (Alka Yagnik)
The solo version sung by Alka is alsi a treat for the ears.
Rating: 8/10
3)
Aadat Ho Chuki Hai (Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan)
This number takes the listener back to Ekta Kapoor’s last romantic
comedy ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’……but why? Because this
track is based on the song ‘Chaska’ from ‘Kya Kool Hain
Hum’. Sunidhi Chauhan adds spice to the song, trilling with her
husky voice. Shaan provides ample support. The lyrics and music both entice
the listener. Although it conveys the same theme as ‘Chaska’
nonetheless its enjoyable.
Rating: 7.5/10
4)
Aadat Ho Chuki Hai – Remix Version
Here is the remix version of the earlier track, which is a waste of time
from tip to toe since the remix arranged by DJ Akbar Sami is totally mundane.
Skip it instantly.
Rating: 1/10
5)
Tere Dil Ka Rishta (Sonu Nigam)
Sonu Nigam is roped in to enliven the mood with a touching song, ‘Tere
Dil Ka Rishta’. Sonu livens up the atmosphere with his usual ease
of singing and catchy style. Sameer pens in captivating lyrics and Himesh
Reshammiya tarts up the tunes superbly. A mellifluous track.
Rating: 8/10
6)
Bandh Mere Pairon Mein (Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan)
The duo of Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan appear with ‘Bandh Mere
Pairon Mein’ and provide enthralling vocals. Jayesh Gandhi’s
background support sounds stunning as well. Since the pair of Sameer and
Reshammiya is known for churning out songs with ‘Kangan, Chori,
Chunariya, etc’ (and these numbers have always been applauded hugely
by the critics and the hoi polloi listeners alike), this one too treads
with these footsteps and glides on you swiftly.
Rating: 8.5/10
7)
Bandh Mere Pairon Mein – Remix Version
The remix version is just about okay like the usual manufactured remixes
on the film albums. It doesn’t have any potential to raise your
spirits.
Rating: 1/10
8)
Koi Aap Sa (Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
The title track comes very late on the soundtrack. ‘Koi Aap Sa’
is rendered by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik. Both smarten up the song beautifully.
Decent lyrics and creatively scored music appeal the most.
Rating: 8/10
9)
Kabhi Na Sukoon Aaya (Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik)
A pleasant number, ‘Kabhi Na Sukoon Aaya’ brings the veterans
Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik to do the honours. Both of these prodigies
allure you in full. Sameer with the pen and Himesh with the abode of composition
stick out the most.
Rating: 8.5/10
10)
Kabhi Na Sukoon Aaya – Sad Version
Sad songs normally hit the souls…this one, though can be heard completely,
but fails to register apt marks on the listener.
Rating: 3.5/10
Overall:
Ekta Kapoor, who is the queen of television productions thanks to the
success of her soaps, has begun to learn the art of making a hit film
thanks to the success of her last release ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum’.
Let’s see whether ‘Koi Aap Sa’ continues her success.
As far as the music is concerned, she has succeeded with the excellent
efforts of Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer. On the music stands, the sale
graph would be profitable.
Overall Rating: 7.5/10
