Number of Songs: 06
1) Aaja Ve Mahi (Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik)
The album starts well with a pop track titled “Aaja Ve Mahi”.
Sung brilliantly by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, the song is laced with
boisterous beats. Both the singers sound very young. Kareena Kapoor too
makes her brief entry and sings with a husky style of vocals. Balise’s
rap pieces do fairly well and Sameer soothes you with his lyrical beauty
too. Anu Malik lives up to the expectations by composing a foot-tapping
music. Since the song is on air, it has already been proving its mettle
perfectly on the charts. Kareena Kapoor attracts the viewers as well.
The choreography is simply marvelous together with the well-executed direction.
The song truly measures up the listeners’ expectations and has potential
to walk long.
Rating: 8/10
2) Nazar Nazar (Udit Narayan and Sapna Mukherjee)
“Nazar Nazar” is a typical Anu Malik song, which isn’t
an insult! A melodious duet, it features the legendary names Udit Narayan
and Sapna Mukherjee who catch the rhythm beautifully. The drumbeats stick
out the most amongst the instruments. The king of melodies, Anu Malik,
compliments well-worded lyrics by Sameer soothingly. The track has been
airing on all satellite channels starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor
in the lead. The video displays the masterly executed direction and eye-pleasing
locales that capture the heart. This song is sure to go a long way.
Rating: 8/10
3) Nazar Nazar (Instrumental)
Nazar Nazar appears as an instrumental as well and attracts similarly.
Rating: 7/10
4) Maine Jisko Chaha (Alisha Chinoy and Sonu Nigam)
A love duet makes its entry next on the soundtrack. The pleasing and electrically
delivered vocals of Alisha Chinoy and Sonu Nigam sound great. Sameer appeals
with the lyrics, but the song is utterly letdown by Anu Malik’s
very ordinary composition. Except for Anu’s work, the rest of the
team impresses!
Rating: 6/10
5) Dil Mere Na (Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik)
Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik appear once again on the album with a thoroughly
enjoyable love song, “Dil Mere Na”. Both vocalists sound fresh
and energetic. The violin, guitar and dholak arrange a decent fusion.
Sameer depicts his true talent through the work of lyrics and Anu Malik
composes gorgeous melodies. The outcome makes the song sweeter.
Rating: 9/10
6) Aaj Kaho Sanam (Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik)
The concluding track features Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. The veteran
singer Kumar Sanu impresses with his well-rendered performance. Alka Yagnik
too makes her presence felt. The lyrics and music mellifluously glide
on you. This gorgeous number ends up the album with a satisfactory note.
Rating: 8/10
Overall:
Fida stands out with its melodious songs. The flick has all the ingredients
to attract the audience, ranging from a different theme, rhythmic music,
attractive star cast and extensive publicity. The real outcome will come
upon the release, but one thing is for sure - Anu Malik’s magical
composition will surely bring huge sales.
Overall Rating: 9/10
