1) Aoo Huzoor (Shaswati Phukan)
The album of ‘Double Cross’ begins with ‘Aao Huzoor’, the lovable track from yesteryear’s classic ‘Kismat’. This remix version brings Shaswati Phukan to render the lines that she delivers very aptly. Sheizwood Aashish Shastri does the remix with poise. A melodious beginning to the soundtrack.

2) Hum Bewafa
Kishore Kumar’s very popular soulful tragic number, ‘Hum Bewafa’ from the film ‘Shalimar’ appears next on the playlist. DJ Aqueel remixes with aplomb but the seductive tone of ‘Oh Baby’ which makes rounds throughout the track does not suit with the song’s mood. This An ‘Oh Baby Do Me Mix’ remix version is just passable.

3) Jaanu Meri Jaan
You are being offered various popular yesteryear’s songs to hear in this one album but in remix versions. Mohd. Rafi’s sung ‘Jaanu Meri Jaan’ from Shaan comes up in a ‘Jungle Mein Mungal Mix’ remixed by DJ Aqueel but once again he fails to entice the listeners since the he cannot create the required effects and the beats to agree with this classic number of Mohd. Rafi. Give it a skip right away.

4) Kya Ghazab Karte Ho Jee (Neena Saikiya)
Newcomer Neena Saikiya trills ‘Kya Ghazab Karte Ho Jee’ from ‘Love Story’ with much gusto. Very softly she warbles the lines keeping in mind the softness of the original track. Bhassker Saikiya arranges the tunes good headedly and attracts the most.

5) Laila O Laila (Kanchan)
Kanchan pipes up the yesteryear’s famous song ‘Laila O Laila’ from the movie ‘Qurbani’ with flawless rhythm. She provides you the true feel of the 80s. Lalit Sen scores luring composition and helps you give the number many hearings.

6) Mere Naseeb Mein (Shaswati Phunak)
Very Hummable ‘Mere Naseeb Mein’ from the past’s classic ‘Naseeb’ emerges with Shaswati Phunak’. She utterly lets down the spirits since the listeners were waiting for the sweet melodies to extract the enjoyment from this fresher version of the song. Ditto for the musician Shibu Pintu who does not try to inject any life in music. Press the forward button straightaway.

7) Nahin Nahin
The listener gets to hear the remix version of ‘Nahin Nahin’, the catchy number from ‘Jawani Deewani’. DJ Aqueel creatively composes the tunes to allure the souls. The track is pleasing on ears and makes a spongy hearing.

8) Pyar Do Pyar Lo
DJ Aqueel scores the foot-tapping remix of ‘Pyar Do Pyar Lo’, the electrifying number from the film ‘Jaanbaz’. This certainly takes you to the dance floor to bop the hips.

9) Udi Baba (Vaishali Samant, MC Sani and Vijay Prakash)
The feel turns seductive with ‘Udi Baba’ from showman Subash Ghai’s past venture ‘Vidhaata’. Vaishali Samant, MC Sani and Vijay Prakash sing with passionate rhythm and get you intoxicated with their magical renditions. This hot track is very hummable.

10) Vaada Na Tod (Vatsha and Xenia Ali)
Varsha and Xenia Ali wind up the album with ‘Vaada Na Tod’, the song from ‘Dil Tujhko Diya’ and attract with their singing. Sheizwood Aashish’s remix glides well also. It does make a good finish.

Overall:
Double Cross – Ek Dhoka offers various remix versions of the yesteryear’s popular tracks, it even does not have a single original number. Since the sex bombshell Nigar Khan is in starcast and playing the lead protagonist of pole dancer in the film, all the tracks appears to be picturized on her while dancing with the pole. The soundtrack is special for those who love remixes, although it will turn off those against such remixes.
