1) Yeh Dosti (Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam)
This Nadeem-Shravan and Sameer soundtrack opens with a melodious number,
‘Yeh Dosti’ sung by the Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam who both
allure the soul with their superb renditions. The song is about true friendship,
which both the leading men of the film share with each other. Sameer’s
lyrics are effective, ditto the composition of Nadeem-Shravan. The visuals
featuring Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol look eye-pleasing. ‘Yeh Dosti’
makes a soothing beginning of the album.

2) Dulhaniya (Kunal Ganjawala, Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik)
The trio of singers Abhijeet, Alka and Kunal teams up to deliver a celebration
track, ‘Dulhaniya’. The song begins with foot-tapping beats
followed by heart-warming vocals. The continuous crooning of the word
‘Dulhaniya’ in the background appeals to the ears. Sameer’s
lyrics and Nadeem-Shravan’s composition add more spices to the track.
The pacy number stars Akshay, Bobby, Kareena and Lara in the lead and
displays the well-executed direction. ‘Dulhaniya’ has huge
potential to become popular amongst the music lovers and would soon have
its place in marriage and engagement ceremonies.

3) Aisa Koyi Zindagi Mein (Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik)
A mellifluous duet, ‘Aisa Kyoi Zindagi Mein’ features Abhijeet
and Alka Yagnik. Both give their best shot to lure the music buffs. Sameer
pens in spellbinding lyrics, which are complimented hugely by the well-knitted
tunes of Nadeem-Shravan.

4) Lets Boogie Woogie (Kunal Ganjawala, Vasundra Das and Earl)
Kunal Ganjawala gets a hip-hop number, ‘Lets Boogie Woogie’
to sing and wins the hearts with his marvelous-lively singing. Vasundra
and Earl give him fabulous support and attract the listeners also. A dance
track, this is a good song to liven up any party.

5) Ishq Na Ishq Ho Kisi Ko ( Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher)
Where Darshans are known for melodious music, they are also famous for
giving their fans qawali numbers to listen to. This soundtrack too has
this flavor along to warm the hearts of music aficionados. ‘Ishq
Na Ishq Ho Kisi Ko’ features Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher who
endow us with their full-throated heavy renditions. Worthy lyrics by Sameer
and energetic composition by Nadeem-Shravan further make this qawali a
lively extravaganza to enjoy. Let’s wait for the visuals (hope the
makers would churn out something special to make it a visual treat).

6) Aur Tum Aaye ( Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
A mixture of romance and sad atmosphere, ‘Aur Tum Aaye’ is
sung by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik who very aptly catch the rhythm. Sameer
with pen and Nadeem-Shravan with the instruments appeal. A good number
to listen to.

7) Yar Di Shaadi (Sonu Nigam, Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik and Sarika
Kapoor)
The melodious album ends up with another celebration track that revolves
around marriage ceremonies. ‘Yar Di Shaadi’ is rendered by
Sonu, Abhijeet, Alka and Sarika Kapoor and they glide on your ears very
soothingly. Yes, the song has values both lyrically and musically. A superb
finish to the soundtrack.
Rating: 8/10
Overall:
Dosti is a MUST buy. It carries different moods from friendship to dance
to romance to celebration, the album is laced with calming tunes to enjoy.
Suneel Darshan, Nadeem-Sharavan and Sameer have reasons to smile since
they have created something special once again for their music fans.
