Barsaat Ke Din Aaye (Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik)
The soundtrack of Bollywood's forthcoming Bobby-Bipasha-Priyanka love
triangle ‘Barsaat’ kicks off with a mellow melodious number
‘Barsaat Ke Din Aaye’. Kumar Sanu feeds the kitty with his
usual brilliance and his alaaps make the song nicer to hear. Alka Yagnik
provides sweet vocals. Sameer writes in captivating lyrics which personify
the romance from tip to toe. Composers’ duo Nadeem-Shravan score
a romantic composition, which enchants the listener. This track is potentially
a chart-buster and is doing well already on all satellite channels featuring
Bobby Deol, Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu in the video.
Rating: 9.5/10
2)
Badi Mushkil Hai (Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet)
A lively romantic track, ‘Badi Mushkil Hai’ brings Alka Yagnik
and Abhijeet to steal the show. Both sound melodiously superb in their
respective renditions. The lyrics and music both register impacts as well.
Overall, it’s an amazing song.
Rating: 8/10
3)
Pyaar Aaya (Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik)
The confident singer Sonu Nigam, who just released his latest album ‘Chanda
Ki Dolli’ that makes his debut as a composer of his album, sings
with sobriety and excellence. Alka Yagnik presents her goliath performance
as well. Sameer vows to pen in catchy lyrics and Nadeem-Shravan beguile
the souls with glorious score of music. Give it repeated hearings to enjoy
more while sitting back.
Rating: 8/10
4)
Nakhre Bhi Utha (Alisha Chinoy)
Husky-seductive voice vocalist who has now become veteran in industry
Alisha Chinoy spurts with a sing ‘n’ dance song, ‘Nakhre
Bhi Utha’. Alisha intones in her usual ease and directly makes home
in your heart helping you bopping your hips along with the rendition.
The number shakes blood with lyrics and music too. Sexy siren-oomph gal
Bipasha Basu hoedowns fabulously to the tunes in the visuals. Her presence
in the frames will certainly extract joys for her whopping number of fans
across the globe.
Rating: 9/10
5)
Chori Chori Ladi Aakhiyan (Sapna Awasthi, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan)
Desert feel comes in with ‘Chori Chori Ladi Aakhiyan’ sung
beautifully by the pastoral voice singer Sapna Awasthi, who loots the
hearts with the remarkability of her voice. Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan
too take part in the song’s flow and drum in brilliantly. Sameer
dashes off simple yet impressive lyrics and Nadeem-Shravan give the traditional
feel to the composition. This folk song is a treat for those who love
to be with these ilks of tracks.
Rating: 8.5/10
6)
Aaja Aaja Piya (Alka Yagnik)
Alka Yagnik fetches her solo, ‘Aaja Aaja Piya’ and dins in
magnificently. Sameer’s lyrics and Nadeem-Shravan’s trademark
tunes make a good hearing.
Rating: 8/10
7)
Maine Tumse Payaar Buahat Kiya (Alka Yagnik)
A sad number wrapped with the feeling of pain, love, hatred and rejection
brings back Alka again to chip in, which she does very well. The song
reminds you the bygone era of 50s-60s when these types of songs were very
much IN and popular. Alka gives you the same feel with much conviction.
The song is attractive lyrically and musically as well.
Rating: 7/10
8)
Saajan Saajan Saajan (Alka Yagnik, Kailash Kher and Priyanka Chopra)
A foot-tapping number, ‘Saajan Saajan Saajan’ winds up the
melodiously mellifluous album. Alka does electrically well and Kailash
impresses with active rendition. Following the trend of stars singing
songs, Priyanka too makes her singing debut chiming in the lines beautifully.
Rating: 7/10
Overall:
Suneel Darshan, Nadeem-Shravan and Sameer’s combo has always given
melodious music to listen. History is evidence. Look at ‘Haan Maine
Bhi Pyaar Kiya’, ‘Ek Rishta’, ‘Andaaz’ and
‘Mere Jeevan Saathi’ – all enticed the souls. Barsaat
is rich in Indian melodies without the touch of western flavors and that’s
the beauty and here the soundtrack clicks the most.
Overall Rating: 8/10
