1) Jhalak Dikhlaja (Himesh Reshammiya)
No need to say that the combo of Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer has been
soaring high for last some years and no need to scribble down any praiseworthy
word on the success graph of Himesh Reshammiya and Emraan Hashmi, which
they enjoyed with the recent release of ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’.
What to utter now is that the success will continue with this soundtrack
of ‘Aksar’ for all these celebs since their names are attached
to this sex-thriller of Anant Mahadevan. A Shyam Bajaj production, the
album unzips with a very catchy-heart hitting number, ‘Jhalak Dhiklaja’
that has been rocking the country and the people across the globe since
the day it went on air featuring the sexy guy-serial kisser Emraan Haashmi
with the sex goddess Udita Goswami. Once again, Himesh moors the belts
to allure his fans and gets behind the mike to trill the song that is
melodious, sharp and easy on ears. Himesh adopts the same style that he
used in ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ and delivers the voice giving
the full nasal effects, which have become his trademark in singing now.
Undoubtedly the master of tunes warbles the lines boisterously and enters
directly in hearts. Sameer dashes off the poetic work creatively while
using the power of his experienced pen. The composition of Reshammiya
is another feather to this luring cap of ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’.
A sure-shot chart buster material, it will win the awards in the coming
functions.
Rating: 9/10
2) Jhalak Dikhlaja – Remix (Himesh Reshammiya)
Most of the time, remix versions simply destroy the impact of the song
but in this case, the remix version appeals as it holds electric beats
and maintains the tempo aptly.
Rating: 8/10
3) Jhalak Dikhlaja – Unplugged (Himesh Reshammiya)
‘Tabla’ is the main instrument that is more soothing to enjoy.
Other instruments too attract you to be with.
Rating: 7/10
4) Laagi Laagi (Himesh Reshammiya and Sunidhi Chauhan)
Following next is a love number laced with the blend of sufi and western
touch in the composition, ‘Laagi Laagi’ brings in Himesh once
again but this time the rapid-fire vocalist Sunidhi Chauhan teams up with
him. Himesh presents his singing in a relax manner that too is a calming
treat to hear whilst Sunidhi provides him an ample support. Lyrics hold
the values and music is splendid.
Rating: 8/10
5) Laagi Laagi – Remix (Himesh Reshammiya and Sunidhi Chauhan)
Yes, this remix also glides well with you since the instruments’
arrangement is perfect.
Rating: 7/10
6)
Soniye (KK and Sunidhi Chauhan)
A saccharine track, ‘Soniye’ features the likes of KK and
Sunidhi Chauhan to do the honors. KK pockets the entire song whereas Sunidhi
is there to sing some lines only. KK decorates his portion brilliantly
and Sunidhi whatever she renders does it with aplomb. Sameer appeals with
the pen and Himesh does the same on the orchestra.
Rating: 8.5/10
7) Soniye – Remix (KK and Sunidhi Chauhan)
The remix version carries additional beats making the song a dance number.
A good effort.
Rating: 7/10
8) Mohabbat Ke (Himesh Reshammiya and Tulsi Kumar)
A fast-paced track, ‘Mohabbat Ke’ endows you with Himesh and
the newcomer Tulsi to deliver it, which they both do well. Lyrics and
music personify the mood accurately.
Rating: 8/10
9) Mohabbat Ke – Remix (Himesh Reshammiya and Tulsi Kumar)
Yes, this rocks the souls. You may go with giving it hearing.
Rating: 7.5/10
10) Loot Jayenge (Kunal Ganjawala and Jayesh Gandhi)
Reshammiya now brings the electrifying vocals singer who is swathed with
the high-pitched sound and unique style of singing – Kunal Ganjawala
and Jayesh Gandhi. Jayesh provides his support sporadically on song’s
flow whilst Kunal sings the whole stuff. Both present lively renditions.
Sameer and Himesh appeal with their respective jobs. A mesmerizing number
to listen to.
Rating: 8.5/10
11) Loot Jayenge – Remix (Kunal Ganjawala and Jayesh Gandhi)
The remix sends chill through the body and one loves to give it repeated
hearings.
Rating: 8.5/10
12) Aksar Theme
This theme song very aptly fits well to the movie’s tagline ‘Seduction,
Scandal and Suspense’ since it is wrapped with the superb playing
of piano and then a female’s excellently delivered vocals that she
renders keeping in mind the theme of the film. A good way to wind up the
album.
Rating: 8/10
Overall:
The team behind this album of Aksar has reasons to smile as the soundtrack
is potentially a winner from all angles. The album would be getting more
and more attention by the passage of time.
Overall Rating: 8/10
